The 23rd IPS User Group Meeting took place at Warwick University last Wednesday (19th September). Some 130 attendees from over 100 firms and industry suppliers and regulators had a very informative day.
As ever Ted Wetton and the team from Gibson Booth Insolvency ran the day with precision and kept all speakers (especially me) on time.
The Turnkey team consisted of myself, Tony Wood the Turnkey managing director, Lynn Barker my right hand "man" and Chris Hill who managed to tear himself away from the IPS support line for a day.
From Ted and Tony's introductions the day proceeded with me giving an update of our activity since the previous meeting and demonstrating the new facilities available in the upcoming IPS release including direct notice and advert filing with the Gazette, post code, bank sort code and exchange rate data feeds as well as phase 2 of the creditor portal to include claim and voting information. This was followed by HSBC presenting their CMM client money solution. A break and then the insolvency equivalent of the Jeremy Kyle show with representatives from the ICAEW, Insolvency Service and Turnkey sitting at the front of the room and having questions fired from the floor (all very entertaining). The afternoon saw the usual format of breakout sessions and then Darren's hints and tips session.
The feedback received from users was that the day served its purpose and I would like to thank all who attended for making the day such a success.
